DCS IP, LLC
Combining Management Experience
with Expertise
in Safety Critical and Real Time Embedded Software Development
DCS Corporation has been providing technical and management services for
defense-related government and commercial enterprises since its inception
in 1977. DCS delivers Embedded Products and Integration Services for
ground mobile, air and sea craft. For over twelve years DCS has supported
DoD agencies and Aerospace and Defense Contractors. DCS has conducted
studies on evolving software technologies, developed tools for software
metrics evaluation and software testing, designed software architecture
frameworks and common software interfaces, and embedded software for
experimental prototype systems and deployed tactical platforms.
On Safety
Critical Software Expertise:
DCS Corporation delivered numerous upgrades to the Control Display Navigation
Unit's (CDNU's) Ada operational software for the U.S. Navy's
communications and navigation systems on board the S-3B, P-3C, C-2A,
HC/KC-130 and UH-1N platforms. We were also responsible for Developing
C/C++ mission software for the Programmable Interface Units included in
the Navy's SH-60R Stores and Self-defense system upgrade. In addition to
this work for the U.S Navy, and as part of the Navy's Air Combat
Electronics Team, DCS Corporation developed the Ground Proximity Warning
Systems and Terrain Avoidance Warning Systems for the F/A-18, AV-8B,
SH-60, and H-1 in C, C++, and Ada. DCS Corporation also delivered
strategic program support to the U.S. Navy in Acquisition and Logistics
Management.
Through the Tank
Automotive & Armaments Command (TACOM) Tank Automotive Research,
Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC), DCS Corporation has
supported numerous Army science and technology objectives (STOs) and
Advanced Technology Development (ATD) programs. For these programs, DCS
Corporation produced integrated solutions found in the Crewman's
Associate Advanced Technology Demonstrator, Intra-Vehicular Electronics
Suite (IVES), Inter-Vehicle Embedded Simulation Technology (INVEST), and
Vetronics Technology Testbed (VTT).
DCS Corporation
also delivers strategic program support to the U.S. Army. Our engineers
support the continuing revision, definition, and validation of the
Vetronics Open system architecture. DCS Corporation research enables the
U.S. Army to extend established electronics architecture to other Army
related activities. The company provides support to multiple TACOM
vehicles, ranging from the M1A1 Abrams to the Future Scout Cavalry System
(FSCS).
On Industry
Leadership:
DCS software engineering professionals serve in leadership capacities for
the IEEE Portable Applications Standards Committee in the following
areas: Real-Time Distributed Systems Communications (1003.21), Ada
binding to 1003.21 (1003.5f), and Fault Tolerance (1003.1h). Our
engineers are also active participants in the U.S. Army's Weapon Systems
Technology Architecture Working Group (WSTAWG) and the Real-Time Defense
Information Infrastructure Common Operating Environment (RT DII COE)
Technical Working Group (TWG).
